Thank God for a new year and a clean new start. I guess 2011 wasn’t the worst of years ive had, but it could have been a lot better. the beginning of the year pretty much sucked, i hated going to school, i was miserable and slightly depressed and always anxious. im doing really bad in college.but i did get into a really good college. and moving to LA was a huge deal. i stepped out of my shell a lot more, and im slowly getting back on track. so as i ring in the new year in a stuffy 8-hour car ride to Las Vegas, i will definitely be thinking about how to achieve the following things in the year of the dragon…
1. I will, no matter what, focus on school and improve my grades and
dreaded GPA. I will be organized and not procrastinate. And I will not play tetris when I need to study and do my homework.
2. I will not buy new clothes until I lose weight and get skinnier. I know, dramatic, unnecessary, and a bit shallow of me. But! I need to save money for school, and Im tired of feeling so chunky all the time.
3. I will be organized in my daily schedule, and that will include going to the gym everyday. EVERY. DAY.
4. I will try out everything im interested in, because i know it will be nagging in my mind if i dont. For the most part, I did do that when school started, which i was really proud of myself for. i remember in the beginning of the school year i really really really wanted to rush for the panhell sororities, but opted to just go to the asian ones. its kind of been my one regret, because it couldve really helped me transition. one thing i learned? sorority girls are
smart. cause they have a whole network of help. but other than that, there were a couple other things i didnt do because i had no one to go with, bit i learned that just doing what im interested and just reaching out to others even if theyre complete strangers will get me somewhere. ive met some of my really good friends by just randomly talking to them.
5. i will be a nice person. as in, not intentionally mean…
6. i will learn better money management skills. apparently i extremely lack responsible money skills according to my mom. this also includes using all my clothes and makeup and useless crap that i tend to buy….
7. speaking of useless crap… better spending habits.
and i will stop there. because that, to me, are huge commitments. and im never really one to go through with resolutions. so yeah….we’ll how this goes. adios 2011! and good riddance to ya.
been my fave all these years. and still is.
